Charitable Recycling Australia is putting circularity on the national agenda.

We champion the circular economy as the foundation of a more sustainable environment and an equitable society.

On behalf of our member enterprises, we educate Australians on how to drive circularity in their own homes and communities.

Through media and advertising campaigns, Charitable Recycling Australia is committed to sharing the impact of reuse, recycling and shopping at charity and social enterprise retailers.

We have secured a wide variety of live national on-air TV and radio exposure, with the likes of ABC News Breakfast, Channel 9 News, Weekend Sunrise, A Current Affair, Channel 7 News, ABC News Sydney and ABC News Brisbane.

Victorian Responsible Donating Campaign

In 2020,  Charitable Recycling Australia launched a Victorian campaign on responsible donating targeting consumers, through radio and posters. The positive reinforcement campaign with a tagline of ‘Be Part of the Solution’ seeks to inform and inspire consumers to donate responsibly to charity and social enterprise retailers.

The campaign is funded by Charitable Recycling Australia through income received from the charitable component of Metro Trains Melbourne’s donation bin network.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank SCR Group for their role in managing the MTM donation bin network and thank them for their collaboration.

The role of reuse within the circular economy

Shifting our understanding of charitable donations from recycling to reuse will help educate consumers on the fundamental tenets of circularity, writes Omer Soker, Charitable Recycling Australia CEO.
